I wish that instead of strangers asking what you do for a living; they would ask what your interests are, what hobbies you’re into, or what you’re up to. Because then they would at least get a somewhat intriguing answer out of me.
There are only so many ways I can sugarcoat nothing and make it sound like I’m a baby-sitter. Caretaker, nanny, childrens assistant, childcare provider, kid supervisor...
(especially when I only babysit for one family these days!)
